Product Designer

About

Hello, I'm Aashrey.

I study Human-Computer Interaction with a focus on Product Design. I’m deeply passionate about designing functional products informed by qualitative user research and user testing.

Before pursuing design, I was a software developer at IBM where I saw the tremendous value in adopting a user-centered design process to product and feature design. I became an advocate of good design and was responsible for the creation of a dedicated design team for our product. Delivering a great user-experience became an important part of my process, even though it wasn’t required by my deliverables.

After three years of self-learning and practicing UX Design, I was sure I wanted to be a product designer and it led me to the present day, where I study Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Maryland, College Park.

When I’m not working, I love watching animated TV shows like Archer and Bob’s Burgers (anything with H. Jon Benjamin), playing first-person shooters (my favorites are Destiny and Halo) and reading.

What people have said about working with me

“Mr. Aashrey Sharma worked on a project for Visit Harford [to improve user-engagement] while a graduate student at the University of Maryland. It was obvious during the project Mr. Sharma was an integral member of the project team. His insight and thoughtfulness really played a key role in the deliverable. Outstanding leadership, thoughtful, and contributor. Would be a great asset to any organization.“
